AAC Ammunition Review
As someone who spends their weekends enjoying the simple pleasure of target shooting and cherishes the occasional free time for hunting, finding the right ammunition is crucial not only for performance but also for value. Today, I want to share my experience with AAC Ammunition, particularly their Sabre Blade Black Tip line, which has genuinely impressed me not just with its quality but also its affordability. In tumultuous times of inflation, scarcity, and poor quality ammunition... I am truly grateful for AAC Ammunition.

The 180gr fiasco
When I bought my last 308 rifle, I was able to quickly sight it in with Remington Core-Lokt 150gr ammo I picked up at my local Academy Sports, at $29.99/box. This was a bit of a cringe moment, but compared to the price of venison per pound, it's a no-brainer. However, this changed when I found a deal on Federal 180gr soft point from Simmons Sporting Goods and took the leap. My thought process was that I am not making necessarily long range shots and that the additional mass would be benefical in keeping my deer on public land, which I am constrained to hunt now that Californians moving to Tennessee have quadrupled land prices in a few years. However, I could not get consistent groupings with 180 grain ammo. No matter what I did, it would end up about the size of a paper plate. Now, you experienced guys are probably pulling your hair out, but remember, I'm a civilian, learning and growing my knowledge of shooting sports. Lesson learned. After changing my rail, and my optic mount, I finally realized it's likely my ammo to blame.

The Search for Affordable Quality
Ammunition choice is pivotal for any shooting or hunting enthusiast. It affects accuracy, performance, and, importantly, how often we can afford to indulge in our hobbies. Like many, I've spent a considerable amount of time browsing the shelves of Bass Pro Shops and scrolling through the selections at Palmetto State Armory online, comparing prices, and calculating costs per round. That's when I stumbled upon AAC Ammunition's Sabre Blade Black Tip line.

Whether I'm lining up targets at the range or tracking game in the woods, AAC has proven to be a dependable partner.
