SPRINGFIELD ARMORY 1873

I have a used US Springfield, model 1873. This rifle is a single shot trapdoor black powder, chambered in .45-70 caliber with a 32.5" barrel. My best guess at the serial number puts the manufacture date July-Sept of 1875. If this rifle could tell some stories...
