The sear is heat treated to a Rockwell C hardness of 55-58 for long term durability. The Carbon Steel sear is manufactured from a die steel alloy, this sear has been heat treated to a Rockwell hardness of 46-48 and designed for trigger pulls of 4 lbs and greater.
