The knife that started it all for TOPS was the Steel Eagle 107D. It was designed from the get go to be overbuilt. It's 1/4" 1095 blade was full-tang, had saw teeth for survival uses and had linen micarta handles with a bit of texture to them to give the user a solid grip. It was not made to look pretty or be a safe queen, it was made to be used. The Steel Eagle 105 models pay homage to that original design. The blades are 5" instead of 7" but the rest of the specs are the same. Still 1/4" thick
