Made of fiberglass filled plastic they look good and will last a lifetime. (will not fit Mossberg 5500/9200). Mossberg 835 and 500-A1 forends are shorter than older model Mossberg 500 forends. Our forends only fit the Mossberg shotguns that have the steel tube in the center that the action bars are welded
